Ellingsen and Associates, Inc. has received wide recognition for our training of paraprofessionals working with speech and language impaired children in Head Start, BIA, Grant and public schools around the United States.

Our training is specific to Native American children and schools and is conducted on-site and at specific locations throughout the school year. Training is scheduled for 1-5 days and is specific to the needs of each school or agency.

What: Inter-tribal Speech-Language Retreat Oct. 27, 2008
Informal One-Day retreat facilitated by Mary E. Ellingsen
Participants are asked to bring and share speech-language materials they have found to be effective for Native American students.
Part I two-day session Oct. 28-29, 2008
* Will learn nature of speech and language disorders effecting Native American students.
* Will learn terminology/concepts of speech and language disorders effecting Native American students.
* Will learn indirect language stimulation techniques.
Part II two-day session Oct. 30-31, 2008
* Will learn therapy techniques for pre-school, elementary, middle school and high school Native American students.
Pre-requisite for Part II: Completion of Part I or Beginning Session.
Bring sample IEPs to Session II
We recommend that you attend the Retreat, Part I and Part II.

Registration fees:
Retreat: $175.00 per person
Part I: $350.00 per person per two-day session.
Part II: $350.00 per person per two-day session.
If four (4) or more staff members attend from one school, registration is $340.00 per person per two-day session.
Attend Parts I and II for $680.00 per person. Attend all 5 days for $850.00 per person.
Prior registration is required.
